Welcome to Refined Detailing.

 

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “the user”, “the customer”) and Refined Detailing (“we”, “us”, “our”).

These Terms govern your use of our website www.refineddetailing.co.uk (the “Website”) and all mobile car detailing services we provide (the “Services”).

By accessing our Website, booking a service, or interacting with our business in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.


If you do not agree, you must cease use of the Website and our Services immediately.

These Terms must be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

1. Eligibility to Use Our Services

To use our Website and book our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, and

  • Have the legal authority to enter into a binding contract.

You must not use our Website or Services in any way that violates local laws or regulations.

2. Car Detailing Services

A. Bookings & Deposits

  • A deposit is required to secure any booking.

  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • If you cancel, reschedule, or fail to attend, the deposit is forfeited.

If Refined Detailing must cancel due to weather, operational reasons, illness or unforeseen events, we will:

  • Offer the next available appointment, or

  • Refund the deposit in full.

B. Personal Belongings

You are responsible for removing all valuables and personal items from your vehicle before your appointment.

Refined Detailing is not liable for:

  • Lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings

  • Items left in the vehicle before, during, or after the service

C. Vehicle Condition

We reserve the right to inspect your vehicle upon arrival.

If the vehicle is significantly dirtier than described — including (but not limited to):

  • Excessive pet hair

  • Heavy staining

  • Mould

  • Bodily fluids

  • Excessive contamination

  • Strong odours

  • Hazardous waste

…we may charge an additional fee, which will be discussed before work begins.

D. Access & Working Conditions

As a mobile detailing service, the customer must provide:

  • Safe access to the vehicle

  • Adequate space around the car

  • Legal parking

  • Permission from property owners where required

If access is unsafe or restricted, we may cancel or reschedule the service.
The deposit may be forfeited.

E. Weather Conditions

Due to Scotland’s climate, weather may impact our ability to perform certain Services.
If weather prevents us from completing your booking safely, we will reschedule at no extra cost.

3. Service Results & Limitations

While we use professional-grade products and safe methods, results may vary depending on:

  • Age and condition of the vehicle

  • Previous repairs or resprays

  • Permanent stains or damage

  • Material sensitivity

  • Incorrect past care (e.g., drive-through wash scratches)

We cannot guarantee complete removal of all defects, stains, scratches, or odours.

4. Payments

  • Final payment is due upon completion of the Service.

  • We accept cash, card (where applicable), or bank transfer.

  • Prices listed on our Website are subject to change without notice.

5. Photography & Media

Refined Detailing may take before-and-after photos or videos of your vehicle for marketing purposes, including use on:

  • Website

  • Social media

  • Advertising

  • Portfolio

We will not display identifiable personal information (e.g., number plates) unless consent is given.

Customers may opt out by informing us prior to the appointment.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website — including text, images, logos, branding, graphics, videos, and documentation — is the exclusive property of Refined Detailing.

You may not copy, redistribute, publish, or use any content without written permission.

7. Liability Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Refined Detailing is not liable for:

  • Pre-existing damage

  • Wear and tear revealed during cleaning

  • Faults or failures of aged or damaged parts

  • Damage resulting from undisclosed conditions

  • Loss of personal items

  • Corrosion or defects exposed after washing

  • Any indirect or consequential loss

We carry out all services with care, professionalism, and industry-standard methods.

8. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking if:

  • The environment is unsafe

  • The vehicle is hazardous

  • The customer behaves abusively

  • The work requested is outside our capability or safety standards

In such cases, deposits may be forfeited.

9. Modifications to Services or Terms

We may update our pricing, services, or Terms at any time.
Continued use of our Website or Services after changes means you accept the modified Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Scotland.

11. Promotional Communications

By providing your email or phone number, you agree to receive promotional messages, updates, and service-related communication.
